Glow email settings and customization

In Glow, there is a settings page specifically for emails. Here you can edit, as well as enable or disable any sent from the system.

When your members sign up for Glow and start earning points, it's important to let them know they have points to Redeem. Glow provides several email notifications built into our system to notify members about their loyalty points, rewards, referrals, and how they can redeem points.

If you are an account owner, you can view Glow's email templates by going to the Glow's Settings tab and selecting Email Templates from the dropdown menu.

On the email page in Glow, you can view any of the email templates Glow sends to your customers. If you are on any of our paid plans you will have direct access to the HTML and will be able to edit the settings related to each template.

If you are using our free plan, you can still edit the text of each email, but this happens on the translation page in your Glow account.

After selecting "Edit Template," you will be directed to the individual email's settings page where you can view a preview of the email that is sent to customers.

If you are on a paid plan, you will be able to edit the HTML and content of the email directly from the settings page, however, if you would prefer not to use HTML you can edit the content from the translation page in Glow.

If you are familiar with HTML and on a paid plan, you can customize Glow's default email templates HTML to provide a more personalized experience for members.

Additionally, when you edit an email template you can use custom variables within your Glow emails. These variables give you the ability to use member data from your account in your email notifications before they are sent.

Please note, if you make customizations to your email templates, they will NOT be eligible for system updates. Though, after you have made changes to your email template you can quickly revert them by clicking on the link provided above your edited email template:

Here is a breakdown of when each Glow email is sent to your customers:

Glows "New Member" email is sent when a new member registers for your shopify store. The email welcomes your new member to your loyalty program and notifies them of the number of "signup points" they have earned.

Glows "New Order" email is sent when a member earns points from an order processing in Shopify. The email thanks them for their order and notifies them of the number of points they have to redeem.

Glows "Happy Birthday" email is sent on your member's birthday. The email wishes them a Happy Birthday, gives them the number points you have allocated for members' birthdays, and notifies them of their current point balance.

Glows "Happy Anniversary" email is sent on your member's Anniversary of creating an account in Shopify. The email thanks them for being loyal members, gives them the number points you have allocated for members' Anniversaries, and notifies them of their current point balance.

Glows "New Referral" email is sent on when an existing member refers a friend and that friend signs up as a member. The email thanks your current member for spreading the word about your products and gives them points you have allocated for referrals.

Glows "Discount Code (Redemption Email)" is sent to customers when they redeem their points for discount codes to use during Shopify's checkout. The email lets them know the number of points they have redeemed for the code. It also provides the discount code they need to enter at checkout to redeem the reward.

Glow's "Point Expiration Notice" is sent to your members when their points are about to Expire. Glow gives you the option to send this email 3 to 30 days before customer points expire.

Glows "Point Balance Reminder" (available on paid accounts) is sent periodically to remind members about their current point balance. Glow gives you options to control how often reminder emails are sent. The notifications can be sent every 30, 60, or 90 days. Additionally, you can select who receives reminders (all active members, or active members who have enough points for a reward).
