Use Share Link when you want customer referral links to point to one fixed page, such as your homepage or a referral landing page.
Leave Share Link blank if you want to use Glow's default referral-link behavior.
Before you use a fixed Share Link for a campaign, test it with a signed-in test customer. The final copied or shared link must still credit the correct referring customer. If the link is only your homepage or landing page with no customer-specific referral tracking, clear the Share Link field and contact Glow support before launching the campaign.
Set a fixed referral share page
In Glow, go to Settings > Account Settings.
Open the Links tab.
In Share Link, enter the full URL you want customers to share.
Click Save Settings.
For example, to send referred shoppers to your homepage, enter:
To send referred shoppers to a landing page, enter:
Use the full URL, including http:// or https://. Do not enter a relative path like /pages/refer-a-friend in this field.
Test the referral link
After saving, test the link before you send customers to it.
Open your storefront as a customer who has a Glow member account.
Open the loyalty widget.
Copy or share that customer's referral link.
Confirm the link opens the page you entered in Share Link.
Confirm the link is still customer-specific and can credit the correct referring customer.
If the copied or shared link is only the plain page URL, clear Share Link, save again, and contact Glow support before using that page in referral marketing.
What not to enter
Do not paste one customer's referral code into Share Link.
Share Link is a store-wide setting. If you paste a single customer's kb_ref referral code there, every customer could share the same referral code.
If you are building an email, SMS, ad, or influencer campaign that needs customer-specific referral links, use each customer's own referral link instead.
Common issues
Customers are still sharing an old link
Ask the customer to reload the storefront, reopen the loyalty widget, and copy the referral link again. Links customers already copied before you changed this setting will not update automatically.
The referral link opens the right page but does not track referrals
Clear Share Link and save the setting again. Then test Glow's default referral link behavior.
If you still want to use a fixed landing page, contact Glow support before sending customers to that link.
A redirect removes the referral tracking
If your homepage or landing page redirects to another URL, make sure the redirect keeps referral query parameters. Some redirect apps, landing page builders, and tracking tools can remove referral parameters.
