With Glow, you can choose whether customers can redeem their points when checking out with a subscription, or limit those discounts to one-time purchases only.
Some merchants love rewarding subscribers immediately to encourage sign-ups, while others prefer to keep loyalty discounts focused on single purchases to protect recurring revenue. Whatever your strategy, Glow makes it simple to switch this setting on or off anytime.
Enabling Subscription Discounts
To integrate this functionality:
Access the Rewards Settings: Begin by navigating to the Rewards > Manage Rewards page in your Glow account.
Edit Reward(s) you want to apply: Select the reward you intend to apply to subscription purchases.
Adjust Discount Settings: In the 'Discount Purchase Type' setting, choose to apply the discount to "both subscription and one-time purchases". This ensures the reward points can be used for both types of transactions.
Note: A subscription-eligible discount code will only discount one subscription payment. The discount is not ongoing.
Disable Subscription Discounts
If you decide against offering extra discounts for subscriptions:
Change the Reward Setting: Go to the same settings page and select the reward you want to adjust.
Toggle the Option: Change the setting to "Only one-time payments". This action restricts the use of rewards to one-time purchases only, excluding subscription payments.

Initial Order Discount: When applied at checkout, the discount is only valid for the initial subscription order.
