Glow can save your customers’ loyalty information inside Shopify so you can display it on your store, receipts, emails, and use it in Shopify Flow or reports.

What gets saved

  • Current points balance

  • Lifetime points earned

  • VIP tier (e.g., Bronze, Silver, Gold)

  • Points needed for the next reward

  • The points earned for that purchase

Turning it on

  1. In Glow, go to SettingsSave Loyalty Data to Shopify and switch it On.

  2. Give it a few minutes. As customers earn or redeem points, their details will appear in Shopify.

Easy ways to use it

  • Account page: Show customers their points, VIP tier, and how close they are to the next reward.

  • Cart nudges: If someone is close to a reward, remind them: “Only 20 points until your next reward.”

  • Receipts & emails: Add “You earned 75 points on this order” to POS receipts or order notifications.

  • Shopify Flow: Trigger an automation when a customer moves up a VIP tier (send a welcome email, apply a tag, etc.).

  • Reporting: Add these fields to customer/order exports to see which campaigns drive loyalty.

Tips & best practices

  • Keep messages short and positive: “You’re 30 points from your next reward.”

  • Add a small VIP badge on the account page (“VIP: Gold”).

  • Show points only to logged-in customers; invite guests to sign in to view theirs.

  • Use defaults (like 0 points) so pages never look empty.

  • Localize the labels if you sell in multiple languages.

Troubleshooting

  • I don’t see any values yet.
Make sure the setting is enabled in Glow and wait a few minutes after a customer earns/redeems points.

  • I can’t pick these fields in Shopify.
Create “definitions” for them in Settings → Custom data so they show up everywhere in the Shopify admin.

  • Should I edit the numbers in Shopify?
No—these fields mirror Glow. Please make any changes in Glow, and they’ll update in Shopify.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

The Glow Team
