The Glow app embed loads the loyalty widget on your Shopify storefront.
For customers to see and use the storefront widget, two things need to be enabled:
The Main App Toggle in Glow.
The Glow app embed in your active Shopify theme.
If the main app is enabled but the app embed is turned off, customers may still earn points in the background, but they will not see the storefront loyalty widget.
Before you start
You need access to your Shopify theme editor.
If you use multiple Shopify themes, enable the app embed on the theme your customers actually visit. In Shopify, that is usually your published theme.
Check the app embed status in Glow
Open Glow > Home.
If Glow can confirm the app embed is enabled, you will see a success message for the Widget App Embed Block.
If Glow shows an attention message instead, use the button in that message to open the Shopify theme editor.
Enable the app embed in Shopify
In Shopify, go to Online Store > Themes.
Open the theme you want to update and click Customize.
Open App embeds in the theme editor.
Find Glow: Loyalty & Rewards.
Turn the app embed on.
Click Save.
After saving, open your storefront in a new tab and refresh the page.
If your loyalty widget is set to show on that page, you should see the Glow launcher button. If you use a custom launch link instead of the default launcher, test the custom link after the app embed is enabled.
If the widget still does not appear
Check these settings:
Main App Toggle: In Glow, make sure the overall app is enabled.
Theme: Make sure you enabled the app embed on the published theme, not only a draft theme.
Page Visibility: In Settings > Account Settings > Widget, make sure the widget is allowed to appear on the page you are testing.
Launcher Position: If Launcher Position is set to Hidden, the default launcher button will not appear, even though custom launch links can still open the widget.
Save and refresh: After changing app embed or widget settings, give Shopify and Glow a moment to refresh the storefront data, then reload the page.
