What do customers see in my loyalty program?

Customers interact with Glow through the loyalty widget on your Shopify storefront.

Customers interact with Glow through the loyalty widget on your Shopify storefront.

The exact screens depend on your widget style, reward settings, earning options, branding, translations, and whether the customer is signed in. The examples below show the modern widget, but the same basic flow applies to the pop-up widget: customers sign in, see their points, learn how to earn more, redeem rewards, copy discount codes, and review their point history.

When a customer is not signed in

If a shopper opens the widget before signing in, Glow prompts them to create an account or sign in with your store's normal customer account flow.

They may also see public loyalty information, such as how points work, available ways to earn, available rewards, and your program rules.

Customers stay on your storefront while using the widget. The widget opens on top of your store experience instead of sending the customer to a separate Glow website.

When a customer is signed in

After a customer signs in, the widget can show their current point balance, available redeemed rewards, and the main loyalty options.

In the modern widget, signed-in customers can open:

  • How to Earn to see earning actions.

  • Get Rewards to redeem points.

  • Discounts to copy unused reward codes.

  • History to review point activity.

  • Rules if your program rules section is enabled.

Ways customers can earn points

The How to Earn screen lists the earning options you have enabled.

Common options include account signup, placing an order, entering a birthday, referring a friend, social actions, newsletter signup, review actions, and custom rewards. A customer may see buttons such as Shop Now, Save Date, Share Link, Follow, or Like, depending on your settings and integrations.

Some actions show a checkmark after the customer has already earned those points.

Rewards customers can redeem

The Get Rewards screen shows enabled rewards in point order.

Customers can see the reward name, point cost, and a Get Reward button when they have enough points. If you offer flexible rewards, customers can choose how many points to redeem within the limits you set.

Rewards can be hidden from a customer if the reward is disabled, limited to a VIP tier the customer is not in, already used as many times as allowed, or the customer does not meet the reward rules.

Discount codes customers have redeemed

When a customer redeems a discount reward, Glow creates a Shopify discount code for that customer.

Unused codes appear under Discounts. Customers can copy the code and use it at checkout.

Once a code has been used, expired, disabled, or has reached its usage limit, it will no longer appear as an available code in the widget.

Point history and program rules

The History screen shows recent point activity, including earned points, redeemed points, manual adjustments, and other supported point activity types.

If you have program rules enabled, customers can open Rules to read the rules text you configured for your loyalty program.

Previewing and managing the customer experience

In Glow, go to Settings > Widget Design to preview how your widget looks with your logo, colors, fonts, and selected customer state.

You can also open a customer from Members to review their point balance, lifetime points, recent activity, redeemed rewards, referral details, birthday, and other loyalty information.

Customers do not see the member record in Glow. That page is for you and your team to manage the customer's loyalty account.
