How you remove Glow branding depends on which widget style your store uses. The Pop Up widget removes Glow's powered-by branding automatically on paid plans. The Modern widget currently shows a Powered by Glow Loyalty footer as part of the widget design, so use the Modern-specific guidance below before promising customers or team members that upgrading will remove it automatically.

Check your widget style first

  1. In Glow, go to Settings > Account Settings.

  2. Open the Design tab.

  3. Check Widget Style.

If you use the Pop Up widget

If your Widget Style is Pop Up, Glow's powered-by branding appears on the free plan. Upgrade to any monthly paid plan to remove that branding automatically.

  1. In Glow, go to Settings > Subscription.

  2. Choose a paid plan that fits your active member count.

  3. Approve the plan in Shopify.

  4. Reopen the Pop Up widget on your storefront and confirm the powered-by branding is gone.

On the free plan, you can translate the Powered By words in Settings > Translation, but the Glow name and link remain until the account is on a paid plan.

If you use the Modern widget

The Modern widget has a footer that says Powered by Glow Loyalty.

The current Modern widget does not have a built-in on/off setting for this footer. Upgrading still unlocks paid-plan features, including Custom CSS, but the Modern widget footer should be reviewed separately before you rely on an automatic branding-removal promise.

If you are on a paid plan and are comfortable using CSS, you can ask Glow support to confirm whether Custom CSS is appropriate for your store's widget branding needs.

What upgrading does and does not change

Upgrading to a paid plan:

  • Removes free-plan powered-by branding from the Pop Up widget.

  • Unlocks Custom CSS.

  • Unlocks other paid-plan customization features.

Upgrading does not change Shopify theme branding, such as Powered by Shopify in your theme footer. Remove Shopify theme branding from your Shopify theme settings or theme code, not from Glow.

Common issues

I upgraded but still see Powered by Glow Loyalty

Check Settings > Account Settings > Design > Widget Style. If the store uses the Modern widget, the visible footer is the Modern widget footer, not the older Pop Up free-plan branding.

I only want to translate the words Powered By

For the Pop Up widget, go to Settings > Translation and update the Powered By text. This translates the words, but it does not remove the Glow name or link on the free plan.

I am not sure which widget style my storefront uses

Open your storefront and launch the loyalty widget. The Modern widget is compact and embedded on the page. The Pop Up widget opens as a larger pop-out experience.
