Yes. Glow can show social earning actions in the loyalty widget so signed-in customers can earn points for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and X activity.
Social rewards use a Good Faith Policy. Glow does not verify the action directly with the social platform. Instead, the customer claims the action in the widget, Glow awards the points, and then Glow opens the social profile or share link you configured.
Supported social actions
Glow currently supports these social rewards:
Facebook Like
Facebook Share
Instagram Follow
TikTok Follow
X Follow
X Share
Each action is configured separately. For example, you can offer Facebook Share without offering Facebook Like, or enable Instagram without enabling TikTok.
Before you start
Have these details ready:
The number of points customers should earn for each action.
The social profile URL or username for follow actions.
The URL customers should share for share actions.
For X Share, the share text and share URL.
Use point values that match the effort and value of each action. A simple follow usually needs fewer points than sharing a product, collection, or campaign page.
Open the social integrations
In Glow, go to Admin > Integrations.
Find the social platform you want to set up.
Click the gear icon for that platform.
Set up Facebook rewards
Open Integrations > Facebook.
Set the status dropdown to Enabled.
In Facebook Like Setup, enter the points for a like and your Facebook page URL.
Check Enable Facebook Like rewards if you want customers to claim points for liking or following your Facebook page.
In Facebook Share Setup, enter the points for a share and the URL you want customers to share.
Check Enable Facebook Share rewards if you want customers to claim points for sharing.
Click Save Settings.
Set up Instagram rewards
Open Integrations > Instagram.
Set the status dropdown to Enabled.
Enter the points customers should earn for following your Instagram profile.
Enter your Instagram username.
Check Enable Instagram Follow rewards.
Click Save Settings.
Set up TikTok rewards
Open Integrations > TikTok.
Set the status dropdown to Enabled.
Enter the points customers should earn for following your TikTok profile.
Enter your TikTok username.
Check Enable TikTok Follow rewards.
Click Save Settings.
Set up X rewards
Open Integrations > X.
Set the status dropdown to Enabled.
In X Follow Setup, enter the points for a follow and the X username Glow should open.
Check Enable X Follow rewards if you want customers to claim points for following.
In X Share Setup, enter the points for a share, the share text, and the URL customers should share.
Check Enable X Share rewards if you want customers to claim points for sharing.
Click Save Settings.
The current X page labels the username field as X Username (without @). Follow that field help text when entering your handle.
What customers see
Signed-in customers can see enabled social actions in the loyalty widget's earning area. Depending on your widget text settings, customers may see labels such as Like on Facebook, Share on Facebook, Follow on Instagram, Follow on TikTok, Follow on X, or Share on X.
When a customer clicks the action button, Glow awards the configured points and opens the social page or share link in a new tab or window.
After a customer has already claimed a social action, Glow marks that action as completed for that customer. Each social action can be awarded once per customer.
Good Faith Policy
Glow social rewards are based on customer confirmation. Glow does not connect to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or X to confirm that the customer completed the action.
This keeps the customer experience simple, but it also means you should choose point values you are comfortable awarding on trust. If you see suspicious claiming patterns, lower the point value or disable that action while you review the activity.
How to test social rewards
Use a test customer that has not already claimed the social action.
Confirm the platform status is Enabled.
Confirm the specific action checkbox is enabled.
Confirm the point value and URL or username are saved.
Open your storefront and sign in as the test customer.
Open the Glow loyalty widget.
Find the social earning action.
Click the action button.
Confirm the social page or share window opens.
In Glow, check the customer's point activity for the matching social point log.
Common issues
The social action is not showing in the widget
Check that the platform is set to Enabled and that the specific action checkbox is checked.
Also confirm the Glow widget is loading on your storefront. If the widget itself is missing, check your Shopify theme app embed and widget visibility settings.
The customer already claimed the action
Each social action is awarded once per customer. If the customer already received points for Facebook Like, for example, Glow will not award Facebook Like again for that same customer.
The same customer can still earn a different enabled action, such as Facebook Share or Instagram Follow, if they have not claimed that action before.
The action opens the wrong social page or URL
Review the URL or username saved in the platform settings.
For Facebook Share and X Share, make sure the share URL is the page you actually want customers to promote. For X Share, also review the saved share text.
The action still does not work after setup
Check whether the rewards program is enabled and whether the customer is excluded from earning points. Glow skips social awards when the rewards program is disabled or the customer is excluded.
