Use Settings > Account Settings to change most day-to-day Glow loyalty program settings, including points, earning methods, widget behavior, notifications, point expiration, VIP multipliers, and customer-facing links.

If you want a guided setup flow instead, use Launch the Wizard from the Account Settings page or the setup guide on the Glow home dashboard.

Open Account Settings

In Glow, go to Settings > Account Settings.

At the top of the page, Glow shows a Launch the Wizard link and the main settings tabs.

Choose the tab that matches the setting you want to change.

Which tab should I use?

Use this as a quick map:

  • Account: business name, contact name, timezone, and Shopify domain.

  • Design: points name, widget style, logo, launcher icon, points icon, icon alt text, and colors.

  • Rewards: earning methods and point amounts for signup, orders, birthdays, anniversaries, and referrals.

  • Widget: launcher position, launcher text, apply button, redemption behavior, birthday year prompt, and page visibility.

  • Notifications: email preferences, Shopify marketing preference, guest email behavior, reply-to address, and excluded customer tags.

  • Behavior: point expiration, data handling, customer creation blocklists, refunds, returns, third-party orders, and unpaid order behavior.

  • Multipliers: default VIP multiplier and which earning moments VIP multipliers apply to.

  • Links: place order, login, register, and share links.

Click Save Settings after changing anything on these tabs.

Change how customers earn points

Open the Rewards tab to choose which earning methods are enabled and how many points customers earn.

You can change:

  • Whether customers earn points for signup, orders, birthdays, anniversaries, and referrals.

  • Signup points.

  • Points earned per 1 USD spent.

  • Whether order points include or exclude shipping and tax.

  • Birthday points.

  • Anniversary points.

Changes to order-earning settings usually apply to future orders, not orders that already happened.

Change widget behavior

Open the Widget tab to control how the storefront loyalty widget behaves.

You can change:

  • Launcher position.

  • Whether launcher text appears.

  • Whether customers see an Apply button for discount codes.

  • Whether lifetime points show in the widget.

  • Whether the redeem section opens automatically.

  • Whether customers skip the reward confirmation step.

  • Whether Glow auto-opens discounts and applies a code after redemption.

  • Whether the birthday form asks for birth year.

  • Which pages show or hide the widget.

If a widget setting does not appear to work on the storefront, also check that the Glow app embed is enabled in your Shopify theme.

Use the setup wizard for guided setup

Use Launch the Wizard when you want Glow to walk you through the main setup flow again.

The wizard is helpful when you are revisiting broad setup decisions, such as earning methods, points, or basic widget setup.

Use Account Settings when you know exactly which setting you want to change.

If you cannot find a setting

Some settings live outside Account Settings.

Check the main Settings menu for:

  • Widget Design: advanced widget styling and preview.

  • Translation: customer-facing text.

  • Email Templates: loyalty email template settings.

  • Custom CSS: custom storefront widget CSS.

  • Integrations: connected tools such as Klaviyo.

  • Subscription: plan and billing options.

  • API and Webhooks: developer integrations.

  • Export: member and activity exports.

Some settings are available only on paid plans. If Glow shows an Upgrade button or disables a control, check your current plan from Settings > Subscription.

Before changing links or order behavior

Be careful with settings that affect checkout, login, registration, order points, refunds, returns, or customer eligibility.

Before changing those settings:

  • Note the current value.

  • Change one setting at a time.

  • Click Save Settings.

  • Test with one customer, order, or storefront page.

This makes it easier to confirm exactly which change affected the customer experience.
