Glow can appear in several Shopify surfaces outside the standard storefront widget, including checkout and thank-you pages, customer account pages, Shopify Admin customer and order records, and Shopify POS.
Use this article as a map for where each surface is enabled. Shopify controls the final placement, so after Glow opens the right Shopify area, you still need to add, pin, save, or publish the block in Shopify.
Before you start
Make sure Glow's main app toggle is enabled. POS features require the main app toggle.
Make sure you have permission in Shopify to edit checkout, customer accounts, themes, Shopify Admin records, or Shopify POS.
For checkout and customer account blocks, Shopify may only show the surfaces that are available for your store, plan, and checkout configuration.
For POS, use the Shopify POS app on the device where staff will redeem rewards.
Start from Glow's Home dashboard
In Glow, go to Home.
Scroll to Embedded Content Blocks.
Choose the Shopify surface you want to set up.

These shortcuts open Shopify. They do not automatically place or save the block for you.
Add Glow to checkout or customer accounts
From Embedded Content Blocks, select the checkout or customer account surface you want.
In Shopify's editor, open Apps.
Find Glow: Loyalty Points & Rewards.
Add the Glow block that matches the surface you are editing.
Use Shopify's preview to confirm the block is in the right place.
Select Save or Publish when Shopify requires it.
Checkout and customer account app blocks can show loyalty details such as points, available rewards, available discount codes, referral links, recent point history, and points earned on an order. The exact experience depends on the surface and the customer state.
Product rewards are not shown in the checkout and customer account reward lists. If you offer free product rewards, keep those available through the storefront widget or test them carefully in POS.
Add Glow to Shopify Admin customer or order records
Use Admin Customer Block or Admin Order Block when your staff wants to see loyalty information inside Shopify Admin.
In Glow, go to Home.
Under Embedded Content Blocks, select Admin Customer Block or Admin Order Block.
In Shopify Admin, open a specific customer or order.
Add or pin the Glow block from that record page.
The customer block can show the customer's Glow member summary, including point balance, lifetime points, VIP tier, and loyalty exclusion status.
The order block can show the order points Glow recorded for that order.
Add Glow to Shopify POS
In Shopify POS, add Glow as an app tile:
Open the Shopify POS app.
Tap Add tile.
Select App.
Choose Glow.
Select App Extension.
Tap Add.
After the tile is added, staff can select a customer, open the Glow tile, view the customer's point balance, and redeem eligible rewards.
When a POS reward is redeemed, make sure staff applies the generated discount code to the cart from the POS discounts area. If the customer changes their mind before completing the order, the discount code can still be available for a future purchase.
How to test each surface
For checkout or thank-you pages, use Shopify's editor preview when available, then place a test order if you need to confirm the full customer flow.
For customer accounts, sign in as a test customer and open the profile or order details page you edited.
For Shopify Admin blocks, open a specific test customer or test order in Shopify Admin and confirm the Glow block appears.
For POS, select a test customer in Shopify POS before opening the Glow tile. Then redeem a low-value test reward and confirm the discount code can be applied to the POS cart.
Common issues
The Shopify editor opens, but Glow is not on the page
Open Apps, add the Glow block, and save or publish the change in Shopify. Glow's dashboard link only opens the right Shopify surface.
The expected Shopify page is not available
Shopify controls which checkout and customer account surfaces are available for your store. Check that you are signed in with the right Shopify permissions and that your store's checkout/customer account setup supports the surface you want.
The customer has no loyalty data in checkout, account, or POS
Test with a customer who exists in Shopify and has a matching Glow member profile. For POS, select the customer before opening the Glow tile.
A reward appears in the widget but not in checkout or customer accounts
Checkout and customer account reward lists do not include product rewards. Also check that the reward is enabled, the customer has enough points, and any reward restrictions are satisfied.
The POS discount was redeemed but not applied to the order
Open the POS discounts area and apply the generated discount code to the cart before checkout.
